Inpatient Care
Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt is licensed for 13 beds and provides acute and skilled inpatient services to medical and surgical patients admitted to the hospital. Employees are experts in all aspects of their department. They're confident in their wide range of skills, and the hospital facilities and technology foster that confidence. Our affiliation with Genesis Health System allows open communication and access to other experts in health care.
Surgical Care
A surgical suite is available for inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Surgeries include, but are not limited to:

Emergency Care
Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt's Emergency Department is staffed 24-hours a day serving people in need of emergency care.
Urgent Care
Prime Care is our urgent care clinic. Prime Care is available on Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and is located in the emergency department. This clinic provides urgent care when a visit to a personal physician is not possible.
Ambulance Services
We provide a hospital owned ambulance service. Our ambulance service is staffed with a highly qualified team of emergency medical technicians (EMT's) and paramedics. We serve the city of DeWitt and many surrounding communities.
Outpatient Clinics
Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt provides a wide array of outpatient clinics to meet your needs. Currently we are providing the following outpatient clinics at the hospital:

Pharmacy
An in-house pharmacy is available to meet inpatient and outpatient medication needs.
Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation
Our rehabilitation team consists of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists. Services are provided along the entire age spectrum, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Specialized services for vestibular rehabilitation and lymphedema management are also available.

Radiology
Our Radiology Department provides high-tech testing by experienced staff. Services including general x-ray imaging, digital mammography, computerized tomography (CT) scans, ultrasound, bone density, fluoroscopy, and echocardiography (EKG) services. We have contracted with Health Enterprises for a mobile magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, allowing it to provide outstanding MRI diagnostic capability to physicians serving patients in the Clinton County area. The mobile unit is one of the latest generation of high-field, short bore MRI systems. It delivers the fastest scanning times and highest resolution images available. The mobile MRI is at DeWitt Community Hospital each Monday afternoon. The images are read at Genesis Medical Center and reports are available to the ordering physician on the following Wednesday.
The Radiology Department is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm. Staff is also available on-call for after-hours emergencies.

Laboratory/Pathology Services
Our impressive full-service Laboratory is staffed with highly qualified personnel and state-of-the-art equipment. Our lab is accredited by the JCAHO, ensuring that the highest standards for patient safety and processing are met. The Lab is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday, 7:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Nutritional Services
Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt provides a Registered Dietitian to assess patient dietary needs. Our Dietitian provides one-on-one nutritional counseling and educates patients, family members, and caregivers about the patient's diet. Guidance is also available on an individual basis for diabetes management or other nutritional concerns.

Long Term Care
WestWing is our 77-bed long-term care nursing unit. Adjoined to the hospital, WestWing provides convenient access to all hospital services including radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, and the emergency department. WestWing is a registered "Eden Alternative" facility. The Eden Alternative embraces the philosophy of the living habitat, using plants, animals, and children to create an environment that is resident- and community-focused. Patient Education Programs
Nutrition Counseling
A Registered Dietitian provides information and guidelines about weight management, special dietary needs, and other nutritional assistance. Call 563-659-4256 for more information.
Social Services
