Genesis Heart Institute is Pleased to Present Joe Piscatella

Joe Piscatella says good health is a choice. Having undergone bypass surgery at the age of 32, one doctor predicted he'd never live to see his children graduate from high school. Today he is a national best-selling author of nine books and the founder of a company, which helps organizations support healthy, balanced lifestyles for their employees. As the only non-medical member of the National Institutes of Health Cardiac Rehabilitation Expert Panel, he assists with the development of clinical practice guidelines for health professionals.

His book, "Take a Load Off Your Heart" was named book of the year by the Preventive Cardiology Nurses Association and is the subject of a new PBS Television series. His latest book is, "The Healthy Heart Cookbook."
