Rick’s House Of Hope Support Groups Begin Thursday
Davenport, IA - The fall schedule of support groups at Rick’s House of Hope will begin Thursday.
Groups being offered this fall are Rainbow Club Bereavement Support Group, Healing Hearts Divorce Support Group, I Feel Better Trauma Intervention Group and Club WAM (“What About Me”?).
The Rainbow Club is for children and adolescents ages 5 and older. The group will meet on Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm for 10 weeks starting Thursday. Healing Hearts also meets from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Thursdays for children and adolescents ages 5 and older.
I Feel Better is a program of the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children. The group for ages 7 to 12 will meet beginning Sept. 13th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm for eight weeks.
Club WAM is for youth ages 8 to 17 who have a loved one diagnosed with a mental illness. Club WAM will meet each third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 - 7:30 pm beginning September 20.
Coming up on Saturday, Oct. 15 is a rummage sale benefitting Rick’s House of Hope. The sale will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Rick’s House of Hope provides support, understanding and compassion through its programs for young people and their families during painful periods of trauma or traumatic loss.
