Genesis Employee Recognized With Lifetime Achievement Award
DAVENPORT, Iowa – Barbara Marsden, Director of Workplace Services, Genesis Health System, has been recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Employee Assistance Society of North America.
Marsden has been active with the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA), serving as vice president, president, a board member, a site reviewer and team leader for organizations undergoing accreditation.
“In Barbara’s capacity as EASNA President, she worked tirelessly to promote the value of accreditation and was instrumental in the development of a guide book related to the accreditation process,’’ said Louise Hartley, current EASNA board member.
Marsden was a charter member of the 20-year-old organization.
“I have grown up with the organization,’’ Marsden said in her acceptance remarks. “We certainly have had our share of struggles, but have come out on top and have grown to be a leader in the field.
“Being an intregal part of EASNA has enriched my life greatly. I appreciate the many opportunities that have been afforded me because of my involvement with EASNA. I am truly humbled that you have chosen me for this important award.’’
Employee Assistance Society of North America, based in Minneapolis, is an association focused on advancing knowledge, research and best practices toward achieving healthy and productive workplaces.
