Medicare Bus, Flu Shots At CASI
DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Official Medicare Rx Bus Tour will pull into Davenport on Nov. 28 to inform Medicare beneficiaries about Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
The tour stop at the Center of Active Seniors, Inc. (CASI) in Davenport will coincide with flu and pneumonia shot clinic offered by Genesis VNA and Hospice. The events are scheduled from 1-4 p.m. at CASI, which is located at 1035 Kimberly Rd., Davenport.
The Official Medicare Rx Bus Tour is traveling the country to help Medicare beneficiaries make informed choices about Part D prescription drug coverage. There will also be information about getting personalized Medicare information online by using MyMedicare.gov.
Medicare beneficiaries are asked to bring their Medicare card and an up-to-date list of medications if they want a personalized comparison of Part D plans, or want to enroll in a plan at the event. Counseling will be available from volunteers of the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) about Part D coverage and enrollment.
The flu and pneumonia shots will be offered by Genesis VNA and Hospice. Flu shots will be $25 and pneumonia shots $30 if you are not a Medicare beneficiary. If you do have Medicare coverage, bring your card and the claim will be filed for you by Genesis.
