Genesis SPARC, Quad-Cities Brain Injury Support Group Host Trivia Night
DAVENPORT, Iowa – If you aren’t allowed to play Trivia Pursuit with your family because you know all of the answers, there is a place at the table for you at the annual Trivia Night sponsored jointly by The Genesis Stroke Prevention and Recovery Center (SPARC) and The Quad-Cities Brain Injury Support Group.
The two groups will host the Trivia Night on Saturday, April 21 at the Knights of Columbus, 1111 West 35th Street, Davenport. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the competition starting at 7 p.m.
The event was previously scheduled for Feb. 24. Everyone who had signed up for Feb. 24 should contact Jan Barker at (563) 332-7028 or KBB32874@aol.com to reconfirm their reservation.
Cost is $10 per person. There is a maximum of eight players per team.
Proceeds will benefit the support services offered by SPARC and The Quad-Cities Brain Injury Support Group for individuals who have suffered strokes, or other brain injuries. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match a portion of the proceeds.
Stroke kills more than 155,000 Americans each year. Stroke is the third largest cause of death and is the leading cause of long-term disability in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1.5 million Americans sustain a Traumatic Brain Injury, or TBI, every year. TBI is the fourth-leading cause of death overall in the United States and the cost of TBI is $50 billion annually.
