Genesis VNA and Hospice A Top 100 Home Health Agency
BETTENDORF, Iowa – Home Health Line and Outcome Concept Systems have recognized Genesis VNA and Hospice as one of the top 100 home health care agencies in the United States.
Genesis VNA and Hospice made the top 100 list of home health agencies based on measures of quality of care, quality improvement and financial performance. Genesis VNA and Hospice, which was recognized among the top 500 last year, was the only home health agency in the region to be selected in the top 100.
“The high level of employee commitment is what has propelled Genesis VNA and Hospice to be the only home health agency in the Quad Cities to earn this recognition,’’ said Michael Hamaker, Executive Director, Genesis Home Health Services.
Outcome Concept System, which compiled the data, measured the performance of agencies using three indices.
The Quality of Care Index measured the performance of agencies in each of 10 Home Health Compare measures, representative of care provided from April 2005 through December 2006.
The quality improvement was based on changes in 10 outcomes and the financial performance index represented the agencies’ indexed profit margin.
Each agency’s performance in each of the three indexes was compared
to the performance of other organizations in their state and in the country.
