Rick's House of Hope Now Registering for Spring SessionsRick's House of Hope

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Registration is currently being held for the spring session of support groups at Rick’s House of Hope.

Support groups will be offered for grieving children, children impacted by the traumatic death of a loved one or children of divorce.  All support groups will meet from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Thursdays at Rick’s House of Hope April 3 - May 22, 2008.

Support groups available include:

Rainbow Club -- For children ages 5 and older who have experienced the death of a loved one. 

Healing Hearts -- For children ages 5 and older who are grieving because of a parental separation or divorce. 

Trauma Specific Groups – I Feel Better Now/What Color Is Your Hurt? -- For children ages 5 and older who have experienced the death of a loved one from such traumatic experiences as suicide, homicide, vehicular accidents, sudden deaths, or other traumas. 

Rick’s House of Hope provides support, understanding and compassion through its programs for young people and their families during painful periods of trauma or traumatic loss.

Rick’s House of Hope --- named in memory of the Reverend Rick Johnson, Founder of The Prairie and River Spiritual Resources --- is a division of the Genesis Health System’s Spiritual Care Department.
