Genesis SPARC, Quad-Cities Brain Injury Support Group Host Trivia Night

DAVENPORT, Iowa – If you aren’t allowed to play Trivia Pursuit with your family because you know all of the answers, there is a place at the table for you at the annual Trivia Night sponsored jointly by The Genesis Stroke Prevention and Recovery Center (SPARC) and The Quad-Cities Brain Injury Support Group.

The two groups will host the Trivia Night on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Knights of Columbus, 1111 West 35th Street, Davenport.  Doors open at 6 p.m. with the competition starting at 7 p.m.

Cost is $10 per person.  There is a maximum of eight players per team.

Players are allowed to bring their own snacks.  Popcorn will be provided at each table.  Drinks must be purchased at the event.

Proceeds will benefit the support services offered by SPARC and The Quad-Cities Brain Injury Support Group for individuals who have suffered strokes, or other brain injuries.  Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match a portion of the proceeds.

Stroke kills more than 155,000 Americans each year.  Stroke is the third largest cause of death and is the leading cause of long-term disability in the United States.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1.5 million Americans sustain a Traumatic Brain Injury, or TBI, every year. TBI is the fourth-leading cause of death overall in the United States and the cost of TBI is $50 billion annually.
