Triple Play Ticket Packages Will Benefit Genesis NICU
DAVENPORT, Iowa -- For the first time in Quad City professional sports history, the Quad City Flames, Quad City River Bandits and the Quad City Steamwheelers are part of a joint venture to benefit the Genesis Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The Pro Sports Triple Play package will include a ticket to the opening home game of the season for both the River Bandits and the Steamwheelers, as well as a ticket to the March 19 Flames game. The package will cost $20 with a portion of each package sold benefiting the Genesis NICU to help purchase equipment for the expanding unit.
"We're very pleased to be part of this unique partnership between these great teams,'' said Ken Croken, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing, Genesis Health System. "One of the reasons we are expanding the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at this time is because of the partnership between Genesis and the nationally respected University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
"Because of the Genesis partnership with the University of Iowa, our NICU has experienced greater demand for the specialized care available from our NICU. We're expanding to meet the needs of the community.
"This expansion is a reflection of the confidence that Quad Cities families have placed in Genesis when their babies require specialized care.''
Genesis is presently expanding the NICU from 14 to 20 beds.
The Triple Play ticket packages will be available from the teams and at select public appearances for each team leading up to March 28. Fans can also go online and purchase the ticket packages from each of the teams' web sites.
