After Hours
Genesis Occupational Health understands the need for convenience in work-related health services. As a true system of care, we are partners with seven different urgent and emergency-care facilities throughout the bi-state region. These seven Genesis Health System facilities are open "after-hours" to accommodate injured or ill workers who need care after our clinics are closed. Genesis Occupational Health clinics are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Three urgent care facilities are available seven days a week. The Genesis Convenient Care Clinics are located in Davenport, Bettendorf and Moline and are open from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in Iowa, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in Iowa. The Convenient Care Clinic in Moline and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Since illness and injuries don't take holiday's off, our partners don't either. At least one Convenient Care Clinic in Iowa is open on any given holiday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All walk-ins should call in advance to determine which facility is open and the hours of operation for that day. Genesis Convenient Care in Moline is open on most holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Four Genesis Medical Center Emergency Departments are available for after hours care and should be utilized only if the injury is critical or if it requires immediate attention and both Genesis Occupational Health and Genesis Convenient Care Clinics are closed. The Genesis Medical Center Emergency Departments are located in Davenport, DeWitt and Silvis and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days of the year.
Follow Up Care is conveniently directed to Genesis Occupational Health automatically. All after-hours facilities listed have a standard protocol to send work-related injuries to one of the Genesis Occupational Health Clinics for follow up care/appointments the following business day unless instructed otherwise by an employer. Appointments are typically scheduled for 10:00 a.m. unless other arrangements are made in advance.
After Hours Drug and Alcohol Testing
Genesis Occupational Health provides on-call services for urine drug and breath alcohol testing even when our clinics are closed. For after-hours testing call Bill DeVrieze at pager 309-757-5323 or cell phone 309-781-3007. If Bill is unavailable, other staff will be respond to requests/calls.
In Illinois:
Our on-call staff in Illinois can meet the injured employee at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus in Silvis, at Genesis Convenient Care off of Avenue of the Cities and 41st Street in Moline.
In Iowa:
Our on-call staff in Iowa can meet the injured employee at Genesis Medical Center on West Central Park in Davenport.
Emergency
For emergency (life threatening) situations that require immediate care, employees should be directed to one of the four Genesis Health System Emergency Departments located at Genesis Medical Centers in Davenport, Silvis and DeWitt. These facilities are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Emergency rooms will take all work-related cases that are life threatening or occur after the operational hours of occupational and urgent-care facilities. Please use authorization forms provided by Genesis Occupational Health to ensure proper billing and follow-up care protocols are followed.

Protocols are in place to direct follow-up care to Genesis Occupational Health in order to provide efficient case management for employers.
