For more than 29 years as eastern Iowa's heart-care powerhouse, Genesis Medical Center, Davenport is the lead center for Genesis Health System's heart care services. Open heart surgery and interventional cath lab procedures take place here. Genesis Medical Center is also a dedicated facility for diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms. We offer a complete cardiac care facility with a dedicated staff, advanced technology and a comprehensive program of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
Our cardiographics division provides all modes of noninvasive testing on a 24-hour basis. Among the numerous procedures offered are electrocardiograms, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac and pharmacological stress testing, and peripheral vascular studies.
Six dedicated cardiac catheterization labs are equipped with the latest technology and staffed by critical care nurses and registered radiology technologists. There are also two electrophysiology labs. All members are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Our cardiac specialists are available around the clock for emergency procedures.
