Illini Campus Cardiac RehabilitationGMC Illini Campus

Illini's Cardiac Rehabilitation program offers a three-phase program designed to rebuild heart muscle and strengthen cardiac function through education and monitored exercise. Beginning with inpatient education and limited physical exercise, the Cardiac Rehab program progresses on to an outpatient format for Phases 2 and 3 which feature monitored exercise in Illini's Fitness Center. This facility is located in the Illini MedCentre and features computerized treadmills, Stairmasters, stationery bikes, free weights and more. Illini's Cardiac Rehabilitation program also offers a link to QC HeartBeats, an area support group and educational forum for people who have experienced heart disease.
