Comprehensive Inpatient Program

The Genesis Regional Rehabilitation Program, located at Genesis Medical Center, West Central Park, serves persons of all ages experiencing a physical disability and/or cognitive impairment. The 42-bed comprehensive inpatient program is accredited by CARF The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission and is a Comprehensive Integrated Rehabilitation Program - Hospital. An inter-disciplinary team of specially trained rehabilitation professionals works together to provide a multitude of services, individually designed for each patient's unique needs. The goal of our rehabilitation program is to restore maximal functioning in the areas of eating, bathing, dressing, mobility, communication, cognition, recreation and community reintegration.

A specialized Pediatric Rehabilitation Program is offered for children from birth to 18 years of age experiencing a physical disability or developmental delay. For more information about the Inpatient Program contact the rehab office at 563-421-1421. 

Outpatient Program

Outpatient services including occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech are provided at two convenient locations. These include the Bettendorf Plaza located at 2535 Maplecrest Road, Bettendorf and at 2720 W. Locust Street in the Valley Fair Shopping Center, Davenport. Specialty Programs

Stroke Prevention and Recovery Center (SPARC) provides stroke survivors and their families access to rehabilitation professionals, activities, classes and educational materials. Access to the Resource Library and the Support Group meetings are free to all who wish to take advantage of the opportunities. For more information contact Alicia Owens, LBSW at 563-421-3460.

Driving Evaluation And Training Program is an interdisciplinary evaluation that is conducted in two phases. The clinical phase of the evaluation lasts approximately three hours and consists of evaluations by a speech/language pathologist, an occupational therapist, and a physical therapist. The evaluation assesses a patient's abilities/limitations in several areas such as comprehension, memory, and reaction time.

The Driver's Training Program is conducted through the Occupational Therapy Department. A vehicle has been equipped for individuals requiring hand controls, steering adaptations, and/or right or left control conversions. Individuals may also participate in driver's training to learn additional compensatory strategies as needed. For more information contact the Occupational Therapy Department at 563-421-1480.
