Are you expecting a little bundle of joy?  Genesis Medical Center, Davenport and Genesis Medical Center, Illini both offer quality Obstetric departments.  Genesis BirthCenter offers a continuum of services for expectant parents, before, during and after delivery. We provide comprehensive education programs and tours for expectant mothers, fathers and siblings, on topics like birthing choices, baby care and breast-feeding. At the time of birth, the physical and emotional needs of mothers are tended to by a supportive, experienced team of professionals.  The BirthCenter delivers 200 babies each month.

Genesis tends to women’s needs in other areas as well.  Breast Cancer is a significant public health problem increasing at 2 percent per year. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer deaths.  In a coordinated effort offering the latest diagnostic technology and treatment, the Center for Breast Health offers all diagnostic modalities and breast health specialists in one location, making it the first facility in the region to do so. Our team approach offers combined resources of primary care physicians, radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, oncologists, psychologists, nurses, technologists and others.  We complete tests and obtain results as quickly as possible. That way, the period of anxiety is shortened.
