Contrary to what many think, mental illness is a significant issue for youth. In fact, 1 in 5 adolescents live with a mental health condition according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

A Team Approach to Care
Our highly-collaborative team works to stabilize the initial crisis that led to hospitalization, providing a thorough evaluation and developing a treatment and post-care plan that are personalized to each and every patient.
Our team consists of the following:
- Board-certified psychiatrist
- Licensed social worker
- Registered nurses
- Behavioral health counselors
Including YOU in the Treatment Process
Your child or adolescent needs you, and we make sure to involve family members in the treatment process and discharge plan.
We regularly offer care and guidance in the following areas:
- Crisis management
- Illness education
- Regulation of emotions
- Communication skills
Admissions Process
Admissions to the child and adolescent unit are accepted 24-hours a day. To be admitted to the unit the patient must be brought to the Emergency Department for a screening. After the screening a decision will be made by the psychiatrist to admit the patient if necessary.
