DAISY Award Winner - July 2022

Congratulations to our May DAISY Award Winner Julie Prunchak, RN

Julie is a registered nurse in our Adult/Pediatrics Unit, at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

Here's what Katy's nominator had to say about her:

Julie didn't just do one awesome thing, and there isn't one fantastic story; she is just an outstanding human being. There wasn't one single time that she wasn't radiating positivity, advocating for our daughter, offering encouragement, and doing her best to make our daughter feel comfortable in a challenging situation.

It meant so much to me when Julie would take the time to explain labs and updates from the doctors. And it meant even more when she would take the time to explain to my six-year-old daughter what to expect and to tell her how brave she was. Julie worked so well with everyone and is someone I will never forget.

She is highly experienced, grounded, and relatable. Despite how hard I imagine her job, Julie seems to love it. She excels in every way. I am not sure I have ever had an experience with a nurse who left such a strong impression that Julie did on my family and me.

My daughter loved her so much that she named her teddy bear Julie. Thank you for all you do, nurse Julie. You are and outstanding nurse!
