DAISY Award Winner - March 2022

Congratulations to our March DAISY Award Winner Marge Anderson, R.N.

Marge is a registered nurse in our Outpatient Care Center at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

Here's what Marge's nominator had to say about her:

"I’m a lucky woman. The last time I was hospitalized was more than 43 years for the birth of my son. So to say I was stressed about having a cardiac procedure is an extreme understatement.

Marge was with me from beginning to end. Her conversation and information regarding my procedure put me so at ease. I was concerned I would need stents but she let me know they would only be needed if my arteries were more than 70% blocked. Marge explained all facets of my procedure, what to expect before, during and after. Her professionalism was beyond reproach. But even more important was her down to earth friendly manner in tending to me. It's what I needed to get through a scary procedure.

I will never forget Marge's care; it was like being watched over by a best friend. I feel so lucky I received a good outcome from my procedure and experienced wonderful hospital staff to get me through it."
