I am passionate about utilizing my hands and skills to restore health, while also accompanying patients through the various stages of their health and healing journey.

The motivation to positively impact the lives of others, coupled with my insatiable desire to understand human anatomy and physiology, fueled my career in medicine. While I enjoy the careful planning, execution, adaptation, and rapid decision-making that is central to the surgical specialty, I especially enjoy connecting with patients and building relationships. It is my privilege to have the opportunity to learn about patients’ unique health needs, educate them on their diagnosis, and provide options that are best for their situation. I am committed to providing a collaborative approach to every patient’s care.

I was born and raised in south central Minnesota. After college, I worked in an outpatient clinic in Minneapolis/St. Paul, where I developed a motivation to positively impact the lives of others. This led me to the start of my career in medicine. During that time, I married my high school sweetheart. We have since grown our family by two feet and eight paws.

When not in the hospital, I love spending time with my family. We especially enjoy outdoor activities together. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, and participating in adult gymnastics.
