I am passionate about PT because I feel like there is nothing more rewarding than helping a patient "get their life back". Being able to get up off the couch, climb the stairs, reach the top cupboard, or walk through the store are such valuable skills that we don't appreciate until we have lost them. I feel like one of the most functional skill is being able to toilet properly, this lead me to pelvic floor PT. In our society we have normalized leaking urine- it is never normal to leak and pelvic floor PT can help!

I push for the best patient education I can offer. I feel like when patient's have a good understanding of why they are experiencing their symptoms it helps motivate them to do what they can to improve the situation that brings them to therapy. I have grown up around the PT profession with multiple family members being therapists. I love the personal interaction and connection I get working with my patients on regular basis. I feel that I get to help patients learn about their rehabilitation, exercise, and anatomy without being rushed to do so in a few minute session.
