Open Enrollment: What Does It Mean For You?
When Open Enrollment arrives it is always wise to take time and decide what it means for you. Please find below some tips from Genesis on how to maximize your Open Enrollment period.
Open Enrollment Tips
- Make sure all your healthcare specialties are covered. Examples:
- I am a cancer patient. Does the insurance plan include cancer coverage?
- I am a home health patient. Does the insurance plan include home health coverage?
- Take note of any out of pocket amount changes such as copays and coinsurance.
- Read all insurance mail carefully to ensure any changes to your plan fit your needs.
- If you are looking to change insurance plans, please be careful and check that your current health care providers are in-network.
