I love seeing how hard patients work to achieve their goals and the positive impact I can have on someone's life. When patients achieve their goals and are ready to discharge from therapy, I am so proud. It is the best feeling.

When I was in high school, my first job was working as an activities aid in a nursing home. I loved interacting with the residents and being in their environment. I saw how important Physical Therapy was to improving their quality of life and it got me first interested in this field.

My philosophy of care is focusing on function. I like to do what I can to incorporate Physical Therapy goals with what the patient likes to do and the hobbies and daily activities that are really important to them. I really value an interdisciplinary approach to therapy and try to incorporate that into my practice as much as I can. I try my best to treat the whole person, not just their deficit or diagnosis.
