Breastfeeding Support

Our Lactation Consultants have over 60 years combined experience in helping new moms breastfeed and bond with baby. After you go home, MercyOne Genesis offers free support groups to help both mom and baby.

Making You Feel At Home

Bond with your new baby in a large, private room that feels more like your home than a hospital. Order your favorite Starbucks drink and have your baby's first photo taken right in your room. Find out more about our amenities.

The QC's safest BirthCenter

The BirthCenter has a dedicated perinatal safety nurse and was the first in the QC to have all labor nurses trained to give specialized advanced cardiac life support to women in labor.

Golden Hour

After each delivery, an established "Golden Hour" provides mom, baby, and significant other with quiet time to bond. Newborns are placed skin-to-skin with moms to help them transition to life outside the womb.

How will you keep me comfortable?

From whirlpool and labor tubs to cordless fetal monitoring, the Davenport BirthCenter offers the latest comforts for women during their labor. We're the region's first to offer nitrous oxide, or "laughing gas," for pain relief.
