Quality Care
MercyOne Genesis measures quality of care by how safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable our care is. This is done by gathering data about patients’ opinions regarding their experiences at MercyOne Genesis, as well as care providers’ progress on patient safety initiatives, and care processes and outcomes for specific diseases and conditions.
Many measures are based on specific disease centered, scientific evidence. Much of the data is collected in collaboration with state and national quality and safety initiatives. Several measures include tracking “appropriate care,” which means that staff measure how many patients receive the best care at the right time when they visit MercyOne Genesis. We continue to strive to bring the highest quality of care to our patients and continuously improve our performance in all indicators.
