Michelle Posten

Associate Administrator, MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center

Areas of Responsibility:  As Associate Administrator, Posten works with the President of GMC-Davenport to provide leadership and operational direction for the health system’s largest hospital and business unit. Clinical and non-clinical areas reporting to Posten include: Trauma Services, Emergency Services, ICU/CVICU, Acute Therapies, Inpatient Rehab Facility, Respiratory Care, Neurodiagnostics, Primary Stroke Program, Security and Switchboard.

Bio:  Posten moved into the Associate Administrator position for GMC-Davenport in May 2015. Before that, she was Director of Outpatient Services for the health system, with responsibility for the Diabetes Care Center, Pain Management Center, Spine Center, Endocrinology Clinic, Dialysis, and the Wound & Hyperbaric Institute. She joined Genesis in 2006 as a Clinic Supervisor for Genesis Health Group (GHG). Posten then held the position of Clinic Manager and in 2012 was then promoted to Director of Operations, where she was in charge of practice operations and services at all GHG clinics.

Prior to joining Genesis, Posten, a Certified Public Accountant, held positions at Von Maur, Target and newspaper publisher Lee Enterprises. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from St. Ambrose University, and a Master of Business Administration from Western Illinois University.

Posten and her husband, Dave, live in Davenport and have three children who keep them very busy. She is an avid runner, enjoys many sports, and loves boating with her family in the summer and skiing in the Rockies in the winter.
