All aspects of labor, birth relaxation techniques as an alternative to medication during labor, as well as information on medication to relieve active labor discomfort. Additionally, we will cover postpartum and newborn care. Participants will receive our handbook for childbirth preparation. Class size averages 8 to 10 mother with support person(s).
Included in this session is the Cesarean Birth Class. Information includes indication for a cesarean, types of anesthesia commonly used, surgical procedures, postpartum and video of a family-centered cesarean birth.
Classes should be scheduled to end approximately four weeks prior to Mom's due date & are offered every other month.
Please Note: Classes maybe canceled due to low registration.
Minimum registration is 3 couples.
ALL THE CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN THE LARSON CENTER 855 ILLINI DRIVE, SILVIS, IL. CLASSROOMS B & C.
