I fell in love with acute care/geriatrics during my time in PT school. Seeing the reactions on patients' faces when they take their first step after surgery/injury/illness is priceless. My role as an inpatient PT is to provide the starting point for a patient's recovery.

I became interested in physical therapy in high school after having an athletic injury and learning how the human body can be challenged to recover.

I'm married with two children and spend most of my free time following the kids' activities. I'm a huge sports fan, especially of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and Minnesota Vikings.  I've coached baseball at the high school and youth levels for the past 19 years.
