Areas Of Interest
My clinical interests involve the application of advanced endoscopic techniques and interventions to diagnose, stage, treat, and palliate a broad range of benign and malignant gastrointestinal conditions. Specifically, I am interested in the application of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with fine needle aspiration and biopsy for gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary tumors, EUS for celiac plexus neurolysis to address pancreatic cancer-related pain, therapeutic EUS for pancreatic pseudocyst drainage and necrosectomy, therapeutic EUS for biliary drainage, therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) including cholangioscopy-guided techniques for common bile duct stones and pancreaticobiliary tumors, complex stricture dilation and endotherapy, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for large colon polyps and foregut lesions, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), complex polypectomy, tumor ablation, endoscopic treatment of Barrett’s esophagus with mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation, endoluminal stenting for malignant gastrointestinal strictures, endoscopic myotomy for Zenker’s diverticulum, esophageal per-oral endoscopic myotomy for achalasia and esophageal motility disorders, gastric per-oral endoscopic myotomy for gastroparesis, and transoral gastric outlet reduction to address weight regain after gastric bypass surgery, and endoscopic suturing.
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and watching basketball, hiking, traveling, and mentoring the next generation of physicians.
