I decided to pursue speech-language pathology because of my interest in swallowing and swallowing disorders.
Participating in a family meal or talking with your parent about how your day went are daily activities that we usually do not think twice about engaging in. However, some individuals experience challenges in these areas. As a speech-language pathologist, I am able to assist with fostering rehabilitation in these areas, which is really rewarding.
My clinical interests include pediatric feeding-swallowing disorders, acquired brain injury and tracheostomy/ventilator dependent.
