MercyOne Genesis Dewitt Medical Center is a 13 bed not-for-profit hospital located in DeWitt, Iowa since 1952. Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt is dedicated to providing complete health care services to the residents of DeWitt and surrounding communities. We provide health care that is close, convenient, and an integral part of the community.

Maps & Directions
From I-80
- From I-80 exit onto Highway 61 North towards DeWitt.
- Take Highway 61 North out of Davenport (which is also Brady Street).
- Stay on Highway 61 North approximately 20 miles. Watch for the large stone cross on the left (West) side of the highway, which is Grace Lutheran Church Camp. As you near exit #311B, you should be able to see McDonald's golden arches off to the right (East).
- Veer right onto the exit ramp for exit #311B towards DeWitt.
- Turn right onto 11th Street (heading East, towards McDonalds)
- Stay on 11th Street until you see GMC-DeWitt on the left side of the road. Turn left at the stoplight. Turn in the second driveway/parking lot.
From Highway 61
- Take Highway 61 North out of Davenport (which is also Brady Street).
- Watch for exit #311B, you should be able to see McDonald's golden arches off to the right (East).

Visiting Hours
There are no set visiting hours for inpatient.
Laboratory outpatient draw hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to noon.
Radiology outpatient hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to noon.

In April of 2017 MercyOne Genesis Dewitt Medical Center was recognized in the top 20 for Quality by the National Rural Health Association( NRHA). NRHA evaluates 1300 Critical Access Hospitals nationally
In June of 2016, MercyOne Genesis Dewitt Medical Center was awarded their second Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a designation which recognizes health care organizations national and internationally for positive practice environments where nurses excel. Pathway to Excellence® designation is the highest nursing honor a critical access hospital can achieve and is a 3 year designation.
