We offer expertise in orthopedic services specifically designed to meet the needs of a patient's condition. Along with our Total Joint Education Class to introduce you to the surgery process prior to admission, we customize your care based on your diagnosis. Our goal is to restore and strengthen patients so they can return to their highest level of independence.

Experienced Care Team

Highly trained orthopedic surgeons: The orthopedic surgery team at MercyOne Genesis offers trusted surgeons who have vast training and experience and a high case volume.
Orthopedic-certified nurses: The Orthopedic Unit offers Orthopedic Nurse-Certified (ONC) nurses who have received specialized training in the care of orthopedic patients.

A dedicated Orthopedic Unit: A new $150 million facility on the East Rusholme Street campus has an entire floor dedicated to the Orthopedics Unit. The new, private rooms have large windows and are three times bigger for patient comfort.
New Surgical Suites: Twelve new surgical suites located in the new tower facility on the East Rusholme Street campus in Davenport offer the latest technology to accommodate advanced surgical procedures, larger surgical teams, and the changing needs of patients. Instead of congestion from equipment and wires on the floor, the equipment is now suspended from the higher ceilings of the rooms. Surgeons can easily move mobile boom arms and communicate via a large video screen with other specialists in different areas.

Focused on you

Patient education: Before surgery, total hip and total knee replacement patients can attend a Total Joint Education class and learn what to expect before, during and after surgery.
Large rehabilitation program: MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center has one of the largest physical medicine and rehabilitation program in Iowa, with CARF-accredited inpatient and outpatient programs.
