From eight locations throughout the Quad City area to serve your outpatient needs to a comprehensive goal-oriented inpatient program, our Occupational Therapy Department is here to help you get back to your maximum functions.
Inpatient
Welcome to MercyOne Genesis Davenport West Medical Center inpatient Occupational Therapy Department. We are a patient goal oriented department that focuses on self-cares, functional mobility, home management, energy conservation, perception, cognition and psychosocial functioning to maximize functional independence. In the hospital setting, this is often following injury, illness or surgery.

Driver's Evaluation and Training Program
MercyOne Genesis Davenport West Medical Center's Driver Rehabilitation Program helps people with disabilities assess their ability to be safe, competent drivers.
We can help put, or keep you in the driver's seat, if:
- You have a physical disability and need an assessment
- You are licensed driver who has recently acquired a disability
- You are an older driver who would like to have your capabilities evaluated
- You have a family member who may need to consider driver retirement
Our professional staff can:
- Evaluate your potential to drive
- Help with recommending driver retirement
- Recommend driving equipment
- Provide in-vehicle driving training with or without adaptive equipment
Our Medical Center Driver Rehabilitation Program has both the expertise and equipment to assist drivers with a wide range of physical disabilities. Evaluations are completed by an occupational therapist who is also a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist. Upon receipt of a doctor's order and medical history, the evaluation is scheduled at the client and family's convenience. It includes both clinical and behind-the-wheel portions.
The evaluation takes places at MercyOne Genesis Davenport West Medical Center.
