DAISY Award Winner - February 2023

Congratulations to our February DAISY Award Winner Alyssa Panjwani, RN.

Here's a patient's story detailing a family experience with Alyssa.

"I am 31 years old and a mother of four children. I came to Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, East Rusholme Street to deliver my third baby. I've never bonded with a nurse during labor the way I have with Alyssa.

"After an amazing birthing experience, I began hemorrhaging. Alyssa was so attentive to the issue, being hands down the most professional nurse I've ever encountered. She did her job with more generosity, love, and care for me than I've ever received before. She calmed me in one of the scariest experiences of my life. She was there for me during one of my weakest moments...and she was like family!

"Alyssa may not know you when you enter the hospital, but when you will leave that hospital you'll know you have gained a lifelong friend. A friend whom you'll never want to lose touch.

"As I was pulled out of the room on my way to surgery, she came with me speaking with positive, loving, and supportive words. We shared tears together. That is love!

"Alyssa's care saved a piece of me during my happy, yet traumatic, experience. Genesis is so incredibly lucky to have her on their team. I have never felt the love and appreciation towards anyone in any medical setting in my life. I will always remember her and how positively she affected my life during my stay."
