I love being a part of such a great moment in my patients' lives. Being witness to something as amazing as pregnancy and birth on a regular basis is such a blessing.

As a midwife, I try to view birth as normal life event - not a medical event. I try to support, educate, and empower my patients as they move through this momentous event. I sort of just fell into nursing as a career, but really fell in love with it in my undergrad classes at Iowa, especially OB.

I love spending time with my family. I have 5 kids ranging from age 13 to 4 months, which keeps us very busy.
