I believe that people need to be heard and listened to. Sometimes the psychiatric problems people deal with are so overwhelming it is therapeutic to have someone just listen to them. Once that connection is made then the care be applied. Helping people get on the most therapeutic medication or help them with psychotherapeutic interventions is what drives me to work each day.

Areas Of Interest

I am very interested in working with veterans. As a veteran I believe in the ethos of caring for each other and find that veterans helping veterans is something I truly enjoy. I also am involved in clinical research to care for those with pediatric bipolar disorder. While this can be a difficult condition for young people and their families, it is important for people to know there is help and I enjoy helping people when they are in the most need of help.

I enjoy running and playing basketball. I also am actively involved in coaching my sons in baseball and basketball.
