Tobacco-Free Environment Policy

MercyOne Genesis has a Tobacco-Free Environment policy that makes all of its health care facilities and grounds entirely tobacco free. Patients, for safety reasons, must remain on hospital property and therefore, are not permitted to use tobacco. If a patient asks for assistance to be tobacco-free during their hospitalization, the patient's physician will be contacted and advised of the request. If deemed appropriate, the physician may write an order for Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patches, lozenges, gum, etc.).

• You will lower your risk of heart attack, stroke and cancer.
