New in 2022-2023: The Diabetes Specialty Sub-track Experience

Beginning in 2022-2023 the Genesis Quad-Cities Family Medicine Residency Program will offer a Diabetes Specialty Sub-track experience. This will be offered as a 2 year longitudinal experience. Residents will be eligible to begin participating in this track at the start of their R2 year and it is intended to go thru R3 year.

There will be one resident spot per year for an R2 resident and one spot per year for an R3. At completion of this sub-track the graduating resident can sit for the ADA Board Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management exam (BC-ADM) if desired in addition to their FM Board Cert Exam and register as a Board certified Diabetologist. There are many career opportunities that exist with this path.
